Medical E-commerce

Introduction

This is a responsive e-commerce website redesign for a company that sells PPE, home healthcare, and mobility products providing physical support for the elderly such as wheelchairs, electric scooters, lift chairs and more.

The original version of the website was very cluttered and difficult to navigate. They have many different categories of products and information all mixed up and very little breathing room.

Background

Goal

The aim was to make it easier for visitors to search for products and make the information less overwhelming to view. There was a need for better hierarchy and a more modern look.

We worked with the client to finalize the product categories, and build a new information architecture. Focus was put on giving proper spacing between the different types of information.

Information Architecture

The products were first divided into main product categories, and then into subcategories within the main category. The subcategory page shows a list of individual products within the subcategory.

Wireframes

We started by designing one main category page, one sub category page, product list page and product page. After finalizing those pages, the same design was applied for all categories and products.

High Fidelity Screens
User Flow

This is the user flow for searching, viewing and purchasing products starting from the home page all the way to the order-completed page. A breadcrumb was added to make navigation easier. *If video shows as unavailable, please reload the page.
